Initial view: Looking up the launch duct to the missile’s reentry vehicle (nose cone) and the half-open silo door. The dark oval shape on the side of the missile is a pitch rocket, one of two used to maneuver the missile after reentry vehicle separation.

Panning down and then clockwise:
•   Work platforms to provide maintenance access to the missile can be lowered from the launch duct wall.
•   Silver-gray panels on the wall are acoustic modules designed to absorb the intense roar of the engine during launch
•   Access door
•   Large black umbilical cables provide power, telemetry, and control circuits for the missile. They are pulled out of their sockets as the missile rises from the launch duct. A large silver hose is a vent line for stage-two oxidizer tank. It would only be connected for loading or unloading propellant.
